About The silhouettes of the tree branches seemed to be a good foreground for capturing Florence as a still recognizable background of a city. Any comments would be very welcome.

Indeed, more contrast and details on those branches would be a good thing here, Sandip. I think that this would enhance the image no matter of intention. The background would gain more interest through the tension that a more detailed foreground could bring.

I guess that the conclusion is here, to give more weight to single spot meterings on the branches themselves. I'll try it this way next time.

Thanks a lot and have a nice day!

I agree .... yes .. altering what you capture is not the way to go :) ...

in that light ... i think a bit more details on the branches should have helped .. the tension part is well depicted with the sharp curved lines creating a barrier between the beautiful scene in the bg ...

however ... the life in fg is not coming out in full glory ... may be i'm wrong here because your intension was to use the tension to enhance the bg scene .. however i would still have gone for two contrasting yet complete planes of life ...

Thanks and Regards,
-sandip

Many thanks for the nice comment and the suggestion, Vandi! So now, except the small buds for Sandip I'll have also to carry green spots with me for Vandi! ;-)

Seriously now, as I already said to Sandip, the additional buds, or leaves, or butterflies, or anything else are no comment on the image, they are a comment on nature at that time of the year. That's two completely different things. No matter what we capture, it is the "how" we capture it, not the "what". And so I can conlude from your suggestion too, that the branches failed to make it interesting enough the way they were captured. And thus the image needed more details of the branches, better contrast, a different angle, etc.

Thanks a lot and all the best,

Nick

Thanks a lot again, Gustavo! I am glad if the focus on the branches did work.

All the best,

This is a nice one. Some little green spots on the tree would be nice, to improve the atmosphere.

Best regards,
Vandi

Thanks a lot for the nice and detailed comment, Visar!

Especially because here I went "the other way around" and left the city out of focus. But it seems that this can work too.

Waiting eagerly for your streets on film! That's always a great thing to me!

Cheers!

Bravo, la mejor de esta serie, muy buena idea poner el enfoque sobre las ramás, bueno el fondo desenfocado y colorido.
Felicitaciones!

Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Sandip!

Of course a bud would be a welcome detail for spring. So I'll have to remember to carry some with me next time in case the *%&?£-trees deny immediate delivery! ;-)

Seriously now, the "what" an image depicts cannot be taken as good or bad. It is the "how" it is depicted. So, I conlude from your comment that the branches didn't bring as much interest and tension on the forground as they should do by having perhaps some more contrast, or better details, etc. They silhouettes should be enough especially because of the many closed buds at the ends of the branches that I missed to somehow enhance.

Many many thanks again, and cheers!

This one has a beautiful feel. Really like the framing using the tree branches. A small bud in one of the branches could have made it even better, imo. After all it's spring time.

Best Regards,
-sandip
