The perspective enhances that emptiness which the snow is trying to fill, Ben! The background is a bit too busy for such an attitude, but if we forget that for a minute, we do have a very well seen and captured main object that integrates very well to the whole look and feel.
Would some tiny enhancement of contrast (again by level correction) add some more tension? (Attachment)
