About Well... Yes I know...a totally over post processed image. It has all the "wrong" elements about it, like the couple being centred for example... (though I love their leg positions in particular.)
I am posting the original colour version below, which was shot in a rather difficult manner. I was wearing a skin tight long velvet gown and lay on the floor to grab this hand held image.
I admit to liking the colour version, but there was a lot of background clutter etc... So I worked a very long time to get rid of the background and produced this version. I am not sure I am happy with it and would appreciate any comments.
Please... :)

Thank you LUIS!
I just had my computer totally CRASH (have been waiting for it to do so...) and am using an ancient one. (Not that the one that crashed was exactly "new" either...) I have no scanner connected at this time. I have no photoshop or any images (I had the higher resolution of the original saved on the now "deceased" computer). Much of the hard drive has been saved, thankfully, and my friend, Colin Porter (also member of Usefilm) is kindly burning to CDs... might take some time.
I am working on a 4gb 256kb RAM machine at the moment... eeeeks! LOL!
See you soon and thank you again. Busy doing what I can to connect stuff and see if my (also not well) scanner is compatible with my antique machine here... got to laugh! :) :) :)Oh... also my printer no longer works... money is the thing! hehehe...:)
Hugs~

Thank you for looking LUIS!
Yes, I know the stance I captured is good. I am proud to say the man is my son, not yet 28 years old, and a highly respected world renown dance instructor (here dancing with his peer from the same studio at a prestigious presentation...)
I only have PS7... I use no flash and always real film. I am FRUSTRATED with this image as the colour original (if you saw it in this thread) has so much background clutter! I don't know how to make this image "work". If ever you feel inclined, PLEASE feel free to take the original colour version and work it and post it for me to see! I think I tore half of my hair out with this... and still could not get it "right". I am of full Hungarian blood! My passion is strong, so you can imagine my frustration at a good capture that I simply cannot WORK in PS!!! (other images I can,,, this one evades me!) I "tried" everything and ended up sighing with this version. I am NOT happy with it. But I had to stop or I would have gone crazy! Please help me!!! I cloned, I softened, then outlined, then this and that, and still not RIGHT!!!! Yet my son and the woman are in a wonderful stance!
Yes, I am anguished. I have many good images of Tango (my son) but all have similar background clutter. I cannot afford to lose any more hair... hehehe...
You are an artiste... Your Tango (and other) shots take my breath away!
This PS is NOT my heart... it is my frustration at not being able to express my heart! I know you understand.
Much Love to you LUIS!
Aniko :)

We must talk about this one (my english it's very bad) we try...OK?
The tango shot is perfecto, it's one of the usual pose of the couple tango dancers, as you know I've a lot experience in tango shots, at the last Tango World Cup in Buenos Aires I got 800 images of stage tango.- The criteria and the idea of the silouete couple is excellent, no problem about the centred image,. the composition form goes well with the place in the canvas.-
For me we must use with care the PS plugins and the paint filters, also I cant accept them... But I think that the line at the backround must be erased or deleted with the clone stamp, even make it softness or out of focusing...the line is very hard and in my opinion it distracts the vision.- You should maintain the perspective of the floor and even create shades... so that the dancers are not suspended in the air.- Only some ideas of my personal experience.- And finally about the image for me is really value and the restless spirits of the artists are in the constant search and many times they feel anguish believing that their works are not what they were looked for.- But that is life and that is your heart and your feels... like Aniko Heart is how she is.- ;) :) :)

Hello Aniko,

Excellent result, to my opinion. Crossing borders... I like light effects that you used to put accents on the bodies. I think this image is perfect for this kind of preparing, because of the strong expression. B&W and the "third" horizon fit wonderful. I also like the dynamic movement from the danceshoe of the guy, totally to the right (from point of watcher). Great work, my compliments ! Continue with this experimenting with such nice results.

All the best to you and yours,
Albert Jacobs :)

Thank you so much Dear Onie!

I love photographing (especially Latin) dancers and often have the opportunity to do so. (It is probably rather obvious that these dancers are true professionals.)

Your comments are always extremely kind and I thank you again.

Hugs to you~
Ani :)

The original is busy as you said Ani... However, even with all the processing, the strength and sensuality of the figures in dance is still very much there... :)

The legs are strong, with energy taken through from the body to the full leg length... Great muscle definition of the calf in the female dancer... Also the curve of her spine adding spirit... :)

All up, I'd say extra nice work again Sweet Lady... :)

Onie...

You're welcome, dear Aniko! I was going through this same thing, having just moved at this time over New Years' last year. Still much to do today, moving that last few things from the old place, and putting some into storage. Hopefully, then I can settle.

I like the processing, Ani. I also like the composition, the leg positions really draw you to the couple and I don't find the centering at all distracting. Great job, and wish I could have witnessed you laying down in an evening gown to get this! (I hate that guy, he gets all the girls.)

Hello my friend Ani, Intersting effects with your processing on this image yet you retain the essence of the dancers vibe. Great feel to it.

Warm Hugs
