The return of the Mountain Man with the great portrait on his personal page...
I think you have developed a nice strong personal style - desaturated tones, high contrast, really interesting work. The watermark was weird and I actually thought it was a statement or intentional for some reason.
Like the off-center composition, good tones, expression etc.

Excuse my ignorance Chad, am a novice to all of this technical stuff...LOL, thanks for the explanation and yes I agree, this method is much better than a large name across the image as I have seen that too and really don't like it, cheers, R

rebecca, The pattern is a watermark. I've decided to start putting one on certain images based off of conversations with people and actually seeing various images used without the photographer's or subject's permission. Obviously the resolution for the web is not high enough for print use, but the images are large enough to be used for video or in web design. I wouldnt want the face of someone I shoot to show up in anything without agreement and compensation to both the subject and the photographer, me. Its just a safegaurd that isnt too intrusive. I think the pattern looks better than putting my name across the image in large type.

This is a lovely portrait but I am curious as to the pattern over the image????? I would love to see it gone, the tones in the actual image are lovely, and a cute expression on her lovely face. Cheers, R
