Justin - Thank you. I think you mean cropping out the out-of-focus section? Yes, I can see that. I kept it this way to give that sense of presence to the viewer. Feel free to post your version to the thread.

very interesting, james. it also works well, i think, cropping out the bottom. it's more "abstract", less emotional. interesting indeed. j.

Phil - As usual, I probably shot a couple of dozen images variously working with this theme. I chose this one for that sense of falling (backward)--hence the title. Thanks for taking a look.

Surprisingly dynamic for a solid structure. Not only the "in your face" rivets, but the diagonal wires against an ultra-blue sky. Good shot.

Hi James,
Nice composition, the perspective, your POV and the DOF choise in front work very nice together with the rust and the colors. So this forms an interesting and excellent image. Compliments, my friend.
Wish you alle well and see you, Albert

Pert of what's nice about this for me is the walls either side. The sense this is not a view often seen.

Roger - Up. The fat bit that goes from the upper-left corner to the center is the bridge itself (on top of there goes the train). This is one of the supports. What strikes me is that I get this sense of being really high up (the camera was about head height)--hence the title.

Toshi - I like the way the image gives a sense of floating or falling. This comes, I think, from the geometries. As Alicia pointed out, it is the rust and the textures (and the geometry) which put this all together. Thank you so much for your kind words.

The perspective makes this shot - well chosen. The rusted and deteriorating bits and pieces of the bridge adds nice texture and the solid lines found in the image create a good balance. Very nice shot James.

Alicia - Gracias. Es importante los herrumbres y las texturas, sí. Pero, las geometrías es también esencial. Las tres llaves a esta fotografía. Hasta luego.
