I can believe that Danny... same thing for me until I captured this one... was just getting ready to get low down & closer in when... yes.. you guessed it... it flew off!
Maybe next trip we arrange should be to butterfly gardens up in Edinburgh? lol

A strong graphic shot Sue but I would have liked to have seen more of the butterfly.,Believe it or not but I do not have one butterfly shot. They always fly away.

I couldn't agree more Brian, though difficult to achieve... was actually trying very stealth like to get lower down & wait for this little guy to pose when he flew off! Bless... maybe next time.

This is a nicely composed shoit. I love the contrast of the rocks against the butterfly but I think that the butterfly is missing to much detail. I think that more impact may have benn gotten from a lower perspective or if the wings had been open.
