About This image (0127) was shot on 11 January 2006 at a hotel in San Francisco.

This is the first in a series of three:

http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1121696

http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1134271

She strides through that San Franciscan hotel with great purpose. I click some interesting shots.

I will add clarity (I hope). The black smoke portion that moves from the middle area on up and out through the upper-right of the image is Jenna's legs (she is dressed in all black). The orange or amber colors dominating the remainder of the image is the patterned carpet in the hotel hallway.

Questions and comments are always wecome.

Fred - Thanks. It's like ink in water or an odd sort of smoke. Love it when it comes out like this.

Ana - Thank you for taking a look. I was really happy with this series of shots. I eventually posted three of them. I was pleased with the smokey or liquid inky quality especially of Jenn's legs (the black).

I would've liked this piece had you not even described it.

Kostas--Yeah, I think that's the trim board at the base of the wall. Oh, well. I have one more that I plan to post from this small series (a very successful series). Cropping is out on this one because if I crop the top I lose her hand, and if I crop the left I lose the trail she leaves. Really, it doesn't bother me so much. I suppose I could go into PS and try to lighten it.

a very good idea you had James! this is a nice creative long exposure experiment. the end of the patterned carpet appears on the top left corner and somehow distracts me ;-)
keep shooting!
