Erlend, I have to agree with Don about the excessive contrast, but it's a really nice shot anyway.

Thanks for all your comments. The burned out highlights yes. I somehow burned them out when I toned the picture. I just didn't notice it. But it's all there in the original negative. I'll be more careful next time. Too bad I can't fix this version here..

The composition is good. The technique is not so good. The highlights are blocked up with no detail. Too much grain. The idea is very good.

Actually I think having the boys face in shade lends to the feeling of "discontact". Interesting capture which seems to lead to different interpretations.

Wonderfully simple yet effective composition. I don't think that seeing the boy's face here is essential, but it would be a small additional asset to the picture. I particularly like how this compels me to ask questions about what the boy is thinking and what occurred just before the shot was taken. Story-telling at its best. Well done.

Cute, =) Reminds me of fishing as a younger boy.

There is something wonderful about that sky. It really guides you in to the subject.

quite a nice shot! the path gives the scene a good depth and the gesture by the person in the back creates some interest. shame we can't see the expression on the boy's face. good work!
