What a beautiful study of flight! Your love of bird photography shines through in this one. This is almost a stylized icon, reduced to an essential profile. Great work.

Yes, profoundly concentrated... what an expert you are ...I hope to learn from you ...maybe some day you'll publish a book on capturing birds in flight ... love the dof and the perfect details, the shooting angle along the chord of the wing so as to clearly show the bird's airfoil in action, and that profile of the head with the eyes fixed on 'somewhere' or 'something' ...masterly executed Marcus ... I love it! ...Gab

Great capture--and a fine title. The right wing is positioned in a most unexpected way that seems to intensify the sense of motion.

Thanks for the comment, I use only the center focus point so the camera does not try to grab th background, I also use continous shooting so once i get focus i can take 5 or so shots giving me better odds of getting a nice one....
take care...

Very beautiful in flight hawk!
Congrats dear friemd!
Roberto.

Fabrizio    {K:2543} 7/19/2005
....I'm really impressed of you ability to focusing....every bird has his eyes perfectly on focus....and I Know how is difficult!!!
Do you usually keep 9 focus points????....when I capture the Chamois, deer or something else I have to Keep the central focus point 'cause some tree branch could give me some focus problem....so when I see a bird I have to change the focus point and I lose the rigth time....
regard Fabrizio
