I love this image. There is a great tenderness in it, as you mention in the title, but also there is a sort of old-style retro feel to it that I like very much. This could also be a fashion photo. But however it is viewed, the expresions are natural, warm, and lovely. Bravo!

Non ho avuto la pazienza di leggere tutti e 125 i commenti precedenti, ma da un paio che ne ho scorto, mi è sembrato che la critica sulle luci ti sia già arrivata.
Io mi unisco, ahimè, perchè ok che è questione di gusti personali, però quell'ombra evidente sullo sfondo PERSONALMENTE la trovo fastidiosa. Peccato perchè il taglio e la tonalità mi piacciono molto. Forse avrei tagliato addirittura di più sulla testa della ragazza, prendendo solo parte del viso, dalla frangetta in giù diciamo.

Nessun problema, le critiche costruiscono sempre..
Che dire, ho fatto questa serie a gennaio, poi i vari problemi mi hanno rallentato.., ma quando ho fatto questi scatti pensavo proprio ad ottenere un risultato simile, con luci ed ombre forti ed evidenti!
Non sempre puo? piacere, soprattutto se non eseguiyti a perfezione, ma volevo ugualmente farveli vedere!

Roby, I'm pretty happy with this except for the harsh shadow behind the girl. This is a particular proplem around her head as you can't easily see where the shadow ends and her head begins. As a result she seems to have a very big head.
One thing that you've got perfect is the title. The tenderness the girl has for the dog is very obvious. Overally I quite like this portrait. Keep them coming!

Very sweet photo, to be sure. I agree with Zafar, though, about the shadow. Whenever I use the built-in flash, I am plagued by shadows like this. Whenever possible, I have taken to using a bounce flash with a diffuser. That typically providesa more flattering illumination and usually eliminates the harsh shadow line.

The way this double portrait is lit makes all the difference, the dog is in the shadows so as we first look at the image the beautiful smile of the women gins our attention, then we fallow her tender look and extended arm to find the dog!!!
Then the dogs limp lead us back to the women! a perfect circle of unconditional love and friendship
an example of how the right light makes the composition even better
Such a sweet TENDER portrait! :)

Ottimo sia il momento sia la composizione, non mi convince moltissimo la postproduzione a dirti il vero, una mano troppo bianca e l'altra troppo grigia, anche se capisco che per avere il viso ben esposto, hai dovuto sacrificare qualcosa, vista la luce difficile che c'era..

Si, veramente dolcissima, Roby!
Lo sguardo della "cuginetta" e' soave e di una naturalezza strabiliante mentre coccola ed osserva le reazioni del cagnetto che sembra in estasi.
Splendide, come in tuttta la serie, le luci ed i toni seppiati; ottima la composizione.
