About What a fantastic place. Just me, the full moon, weird noises from aligators in love and my camera...and 100 000 hungry mosquitos.
Just some contrast with PS. The colors are natural.

Hey Owens! The trailer is actually a boat on the swamp and no, no flash or something else was involved. I was surprized how green the image turned out, but on the other hand, there was nothing but green arround. Thanks for the feedback!

I think i'm in love with your work. The velvia really captured the red in that trailer home adding a wonderful counterpoint to dominate greem colors of the photograph. Good choice in film for the subject -- I've had some mistakes/bad results with velvia in the past but this shot has given me new ideas. Did you just pop a flash/soft box at the end of the exposure? Great shot!

Stefan's comment is too funny and appropriate!..LMAO..opening scene for a movie with billy bob thornton walking up with a big-ass flashlight and shines it on laura dern who is skinny dippin' inches away from a gator!..like this shot and contrary to what your bro thinks ;>,all of the objects are what makes this more interesting..lighting creates the mood..gayle

Hey Darinka! Send me a print of whisper and I call it a deal!
Actually the LA stand for the US state Louisiana and the picture shows a view on the biggest swamp of North America. My tribute to that shoot was about 100 mosquito bites. :-(((
No, this Band didn't come across so far. I'll let you know and will keep them in mind.
Take care, my friend! C.

Excellent fantastic amazing image... don't know what else to say...(a part from: send me a copy..) it shows a bit of everything. the ouside, the inside, how the outside is the inside and the inside just a little safer cage. voyerism but not really. who cares when the atmosphere is that charming? So are you from LA.? do you know a band called "the Bronx"? thanks for your always too kind comments!

There was no serene feeling, Hugo! It was one of the most fantastic places I've ever been, but that doesn't mean I felt relexed. Not that I'm afraid of snakes, aligators or spiders. But I was standing there, attacked by hundred of hungry mosquitos, animals running from left to right, snakes swimming arround and all kind of "swamp sounds". Just to give you an impression...

Don't worry Michelle! No alligators in LA! Just a few poisonous spiders and snakes. But your not on their menue. LOL.

Hi Carlheinz, the weird thing is, that I don't quite get that serene feeling you describe when I look at this picture. The photo demonstrates a perfectly eerie and quite unwelcoming atmosphere. As if there's something lurking in the dark, ready to strike. The faint red gleam in the boat not even creates the safe-haven I expect... Excellent tones, and a very expressive image.

Cheers,

Hugo

i just love the quality and expressionism within your work--there is always something else laying beyond the focal point--great work!

The view of somebody coming upon this place with a big-ass flashlight. What his business may be, nobody knows.

hard to perceive the details, bro. the unusual color adds some fuel to the image, but I personally think that a concentration on fewer objects would help the image. Just my thoughts though =) cheers, thilo

Very nice colors.. very moody (read creepy) place ! A photograph is good when it transmits a feeling, an emotion, that the spectator can feel when looking at the image. This one works...
