Good to hear from you, Bertram! I am afraid the Widelux has gone (sold to a new owner who promised to give it a good home). I occasionally miss it... although I stitch most of my panoramas these days. The Horizon (buy a NEW one, not second hand!) is a good camera for learning about panorama photography. I have seen excellent results produced with it. Have fun! I envy you your trip to Paris.

A gem ! Seducing.. And as i could see, you still use it. I'm afraid that Pano is one of the things I won't be able to avoid on the longer run, I am thinking about a Horizon 202 for my next visit in Paris...;) Hope you are well, Bertram

You're most welcome, Keith. Isn't it a nice machine! I was just looking through some of my photos taken with it and thinking how hard they would be to take any other way... Stitching would be viable only you have to be SO careful to rotate about the non-parallax point of the lens, which means using a pano-head and tripod. Too much gear! The Widelux is hard to beat... Have run!

No, no, Rob. I have just started to dabble my feet in digital waters... I still love and use my three RF cameras. I have run into problems with stitched panoramas using my digital camera, so I will continue to use film and my SLR for some of them, specifically those with crowd scenes and/or very high contrast. Film is far better for those.

Ciprian, I have sold this one because I find I only use it very occasionally. It does produce lovely results, but a friend has been wanting one for years and they are hard to find--out of production now, of course. So I sold it to him. I must admit it gave me a pang to part with it. Lovely piece of machinery! I don't intend to sell any others. (I have five--three RFs and two SLRs!)

At last you have given up the film era ;) By the way. The color shot has a green cast over it, judging the paper and the shiny knobs of the camera. Regards, Rob.

Looks like a beautiful piece of kit; are you selling your old cameras then?
