Thanks Mary! It was by luck that I found this bird. I found it on the side of the railroad beside the Casino in Gatineau. This one was not nervous at all, it was acting as if I wasn`t there.

These guys are so hard to find when they are nesting. They usually fly from their nests so quickly if they think they are going to be intruded upon. Boy, Ivo, you must have been very patient and quiet. Great detail showing the texture of the bird. Good capture.

Ivo,
I'm getting cold just looking at it! Great atmosphere in this shot. You can see the Owl braced against the wind and snow, trying to get some sleep. Love it!!!

Thanks Shane. I followed your suggestion and used Agfa 100 film. I`m very happy with the results. The prints look better than the scanned ones.

You have captured such a typical scene for this time of year. We have a lot out front at the feeder, but I can't get this kind of shot with the focused-unfocused to highlight the main feature. Nice capture.

I took this picture last year near the end of winter. This was in a cave near Wakefield Qc. The name of this site is Caverne Laflèche. I highly recommend everyone to go see this place. Some stalagmites are over 6 feet high, I will post more pics from this place.
