James, I'll never forget the words of my old photography teacher: "Never take a picture of Uncle Fred in front of Old Faithful -- first take a picure of Uncle Fred, then take a picture of Old Faithful." But I guess since you're not Uncle Fred, and that's not Old Faithful, your shot doesn't break that rule. So never mind.

This is a great photo. Caught it on "random photos." Glad I did. Delapidation and detiorization are one of my favorites. Excellent choice for b/w. Great comp, tones and detail. regards --Todd

This is an interesting place you have shown us. I do like how those two poles come out on either side of the small window in the wall there, it tells of careful composition of the image. Maybe you could crop it a bit on the right, and perhaps also at the top to get rid of some of that black opening.
I find the lighting appropriate for this location, but more contrast wouldn't hurt the image in my opinion.

Good Image. I think that the lack of sharpness, some people complain about, actually suits the subject.

not a landscape, a dreamscape! this really appeals to me... when I was a little girl we had a vehicle like this, and it shook and rattled and was loud enough that you couldn't hear each other talk, it always put me to sleep... now half buried in forgetfulness, like this image that evokes such a strong sense of nostalgia, I love the composition and the grain. Nice work!

I love the mood of this, and I find that there is a good deal of detail and texture in this very small image that makes me wish for a closer look, 200 kb just doesn't do justice to most prints. Beautiful work.

You have my undying respect for carting a view camera around Mesa Verde (Sprucetree House is at Mesa Verde, isn't it). Now, if you show us a picture from Balcony House taken with a view camera, I'll be astounded!
I think you captured the mood of the place very nicely.
