Thanks Marcus. After I posted this I decided that the whites were to hot and I reworked it. I'm much happier with the redo. I guess I will post it.

Nice shot, Ed! As for the overexposure on the head, try stopping down 2/3 to 1 1/3 depending on the intensity of the sunlight. It is easier to bring out the parts that are slightly underexposed in PS than it is to recapure the detail in "Hot" whites. Hope this helps.

Another fine shot!! The exposure looks perfect! Awesome details in the black feathers. I love the open beak! It adds a great finishing touch to an already fantastic image.
