Chris: Thank you very much for the comment. I posted on Usefilm a B&W version of the same exposure. I also have a different photo of a similar row of pilings adjacent to this one; I will probably upload this photo in a few days.
These pilings are located at the Crisp Point Light, which is on the south shore of Lake Superior, in a very secluded area. A photo of this lighthouse was also posted to Usefilm a while back.

I like the unusual point of view. It makes a pattern of the entire photo. Very well presented, also.

I am curious though - what does the path up the hill lead to?

This might also be effective as a monochrome photo. I am not sure the yellow color in the improves things.
I also think composition might be improved if some of the image was cropped off the left side and possibly the bottom (just above the lowest rocks). This would frame the center of interest better,in my opinion.

Excellent impact. One suggestion: I think the photo would be improved if the sun was not centered. Cropping some off the left side would accomplish this.

Did you consider cropping this to exclude the crates? I think portions or details of the upper part might make good subjects.

The ragged edges of the old print is quite appropriate for the old subject. You did a good job of aging it.
