About I was playing with the channel mixer - and got this weird part focused, part blurred effect by sending the red channel into negative numbers - no idea why it happens - can anyone enlighten me?

Nice image Sally and a very interesting effect you got. My guess would be that it has someting to do with the white in the photograph - it are mainly the whites on the boats and the strong white reflections in the foreground that remained sharp. Regards.

Don't understand the technical stuff, Sally, but I like the picture. Your series using boats as central subjects is really good.

Best wishes, Len

Very nice composition, Sally. Very serene, and you still got some nice detail in the sky. Dont know about the red channel you spoke about. Looks okay, though.

sally,
the stacked composition works very well here. i think this weird blur thing might be a bit much for my eye. your channel mixing did nice things to the clouds and sky but i would go back and erase or lower the opacity on the part of frame showing the ripples of water. this is a very nice shot.
cheers,
erik

Love your boats in a row, excellent tones, wish I could help with the channel mixer, if you find out let me know...love the angle in your composition, but what really stands our are the tones Sally, love it!
