Wow, amazing photograph Mark! Big fan of star trails :) I love the colors on this and great use of the fisheye, don't I've seen it combined with a star trail shot like this. Excellent work!

Phil - This is a 15 minute exposure with noise reduction, balanced for tungsten to blue-up the sky. Fisheye 10.5mm 2.8 lens, very wide. I tried to center on the North Star for concentric star-swirling. It's taken at Snoqualmie Pass, about 50 miles from Seattle and away from the main city lights but with just enough glow from the highway (at right) to give the hills some definition.

Hello Mark,
I found it impossible to pass your photo without leaving a critique. I absolutely love this photo. It's alive with so much slow movement of the star/planet trails that it actually becomes dizzying to stare at for too long. No complaint about that though! I am so happy for you that you achieved these fine results! )
