About This is an enchanting location, full of ponds and creeks and charming foliage. It is the Nature Center at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, California. (BTW, not a composite, save for the faery wings which were adapted from Ronnie Gaubert's butterfly wings -- thank you once again Ronnie). This is the last faery for now, but there are others from this shoot that I'm looking forward to working up.

Hi Fadel! Thanks for visiting and commenting. I love when you enjoy my images, and that means a lot to me that you think of my work when you hear a song. Hugs. Antonia

Exceptional image. Pastel yellowish colors, child's expression, posture, surrounding, all adds something to the photo. Regards, Alper.

I'll have to remember that. I have had some of my composite work develope strange blotches. Not that crazy edge thing but blanks in the layer like I erased it. Ach! I must like stress because PS isn't a walk in the park. lol
Thanks Toni for the heads up.

Yes, indeed the color is my favorite. You have a way of creating the perfect tones! Love it and those wings rock!

Antonia BauerleinSehnert   {K:30599} 7/17/2005
Thank you for visiting my fairies and for loving them so much Ellen. The frame on the other does force the image to shrink since we're limited to 800 high at UF. I usually do all of my images in BW, Sepia and color, though I often only share one of the versions. This time I wanted to show off the frame, so posted the BW on that one (the frame doesn't look good with the color version). You asked me about how I save layers in another post. You can only save layers using TIFF or PSD format, never jpg. I used to use TIFF a lot, simply because I always edit in TIFF to begin with (you shouldn't edit in JPG because each time to save there is deterioration during compression). Now I use PSD most of the time and I can't think of why -- but I think it automatically saves to PSD when you use masks. Hope that helps. Antonia

Oh Toni these are great this one is my favorite but I love the frame on the other one. Boy they're both so good I think I'm drawn to this one because the color helps "flesh" out the details. I just noticed the other is smaller to accomadate the frame, maybe if they were the same size you wouldn't lose the fine details.
Great stuff Toni.

Hi Toni,
Great job again as usual!
Congrats on the awards for the one before this one... To tell the truth I honestly prefer this one. I'm sure it is difficult for you to choose one over the other. For me, this one has a subtle charm that is not quite there in the Faery's Delight. I also think the PS work is superior in this image.

PS work is good but the models expression is lacklustre. Lighting and tones are alsso fantastic.
