Thanks for your comments "Christina from Greece". The backgroung effect is caused by a camera set to "Centered weighed average". I use this setting when I'm shooting in the "Wild" and have little control over the background.
My wife has about 15 rose bushes in our front yard plus numerous other plants. Whenever I catorize a posting as "Our flowers" they are from our yard/garden. I bought my wife a camera and she has just started posting her own shots. http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/89048.html

excellent shot, but I 'd prefer more light on the backround and non this strange filter...tha is covering the picture...Nice macro!!!Congratulations to your wife for her roses!!!I love them!!

You caught me, I missed a step that cleans up the small specs that occur trying to remove the noise in the shot. But I did enclose the origional.
