Steve Your totally wrong, This not a composite LOL, but you are right about the added light in the eye, It looked kind of dead, and the beak was selectivly worked on to bring out some colors, I did do some selective sharpening, and grain removal with the background, so you are totally wrong this Is not a composite. LOL Seriously really good eye, and I am flattered that you took that good of a look, This was a really hard catch and i wasnt about to let it get away due to a few minor flaws. Dont ever think I would get upset that you point out some of the work I do in PS, It gives me a idea of what I need to work on better..
Take care steve....

Hi Marcus, I hope you are fully recovered. This is a fantastic image, but I suspect what you really want are critiques of your photos rather than lots of "wow, that's amazing"s?

If I'm wrong please tell me and I will back-off!

There is something odd around the birds beak here that makes me think there is some cloning going on here, or this is a composite photo. Also the catch-light in the eye looks like it was added in post-work, given that the shadow under the wing is on the same side?

Tell me to shut up & I'll shut up!

Regards,
Steve.

Well my question in the previous comment - has been answered beautifully, I can see you are back to your normal excellent self again. Good feather detail - must have been moving at very high speed - I think I would have ended up with a picture of 'sky' LOL :)

YES! What a cracking shot! Beautiful frozen action, got the bird at just the perfect time.

I have no idea how hard this shot must have been to achieve. It just looks wonderful, with pin-sharp focus and lovely details on the feathers etc.

Hey Marcus - Welcome Back!!

Good to see the time away from the shutter hasn't dulled your skills any! Take it easy with that shoulder though!

Really love how you've captured the geometry of the wings. Really shows how well the bird master the air... man hasn't come close to control of the skies in the way they have.

Thanks for your comment on "night at the beach"...

Steve
