I do not know the scientific name of this flower but it grows on a huge tree which lives a 100 yrs & in the local language it is called Nag champak (serpent flower ),Kailash pati after a god & cannon ball because of its huge cannon like fruit,cheers,Subhash.

What indeed?! Fascinating series on this unique bloom!!! Your macros are incredible (as usual!) Beautiful lighting with the black background really makes the colors look fresh and all the detail of veining and texture is clear. Perfectly composed and executed!!!
