Thanks Michael. I cant say If you are seeing the photo any differently then I, There may be a slight lack of detail in the shot, as black birds with almost black eyes are not going to render spectacular eye or wing detail without bringing out noise. but you make a good point, there should be a color chart on the site to adjust our monitors to, so we are sure we are all viewing things the same....

I see you have the same camera as i....and i need some advice. All my photo's straight out the camera seem to be underexposed when i put them on my p.c. Could you tell if you experienced this problem too. What metering mode do you usually use(evaluative or partial or center weighted).Do you use auto white balance or manual????

Excellent capture! I'm glad you identified it as a stilt; I was going to ask. I wish I could see the eye just a little better, and maybe a little more detail in the wings. Maybe a little levels adjustment, or maybe it's my monitor?

wings are so beautiful that this image can be used for an air-force bagde, or something like that. I just purchased a camera with leica 36-432 mm equivalent fixed lens but did not have chance or a place to try shots like these, if I reach 50% of your success, that would be enough for me :)

Hi Marcus, first of all thanks for your comment... Opening your portfolio was a very pleasant surprise, you have some great shots! Well timed, well exposed, and very consistent work! I like the dynamism in this shot; well balanced composition too... It looks more like a take off than a landing, though...:) Nonetheless a very well captured shot.
