About Years since the last rain - our Pier offers a nice view of the dunes. A global warming fantasy.

Shifting sands, shifting seas. What is the Arabic saying? "The desert is a sea that no ship sails"
Pier is in California, sands are dunes from Death Valley California.

Michael - I don't believe I have posted any, but during winter storms we do get waves of that size and even larger. Spray tops on to the deck. Thanks for commenting. - JB

Nice PS work! If the dunes were actually walls of water I don't think I would want to be walking on that pier. I like the originality of the image, very interesting concept.
Congratulations on the award. Many compliments.................Mike

Now you need to add a couple of dolphins or a whale jumping out of the sand and you are there! John, great job as always, when do I get my print?Phil

Heh - this is great. I really like how you got the pier to travel up the dunes.

A small tip: composite-wise, the "legs" of the pier look a bit like they're harshly cut into the background. You should be able to blend them into the sand by using a soft, small burn tool brush on a low opacity, making little rings/shadows around the legs.

Thanks for the chuckle!

Wow! Is it the same pier?
I agree with Lou and Clinton: dramatic, indeed!
Congrats!

Insanity! But still so cool! Excellent John! Love it! You should up the saturation on the pier a tiny bit to bring out that red roof on the roundhouse.

This is a great visual piece of confusion for the mind's eye. It wants to see water, and I think it is fantastic.
