You commented on my FLIGHT photo, so I had to check out your captures. This is my favorite. I love the pastel colors. This is almost a personification of innocents. You have such talent and I am just beginning, so thanks for taking the time to "make my day". Dee

excellent shot and composition including post-process, Lori I visited your portfolio after your comments to one of my shots. I am proud of your words for them; I am not a professional as you, just loving photography and modern techniques can be applied to it. It has been nice visiting your shot, your wonderful elaboration of self-portrait and some La Jolla and other californian landscapes.

Now that the honeymoon is over what do we do now. Take pictures of the dried flower to remind us of the wonderful time that we had when they were fresh. Great picture. Don.

Very special flowers, Lori You did well to let them dry and save them and you did very well here. Dead and dry but so alive in this shot! It feels as if I can stretch my hand and touch them. Excellent clarity and lighting. Lovely colours Wonderful capture Regards - Emgy

Hi Lori. At first let me thank you for your kind comments on many of my last pictures. You have been very busy. This is a very appealing still life. Excellent diagonal composition, beautiful pastel colors and nice details. My compliments on this. To your question about focussing in macro shots: Yes, i have the canon macro lens 250D, but for my flower macros i usually don't use it. But i nearly always use a tripod and manual focussing. A tripod always improves picture quality. The G5 has an additional feature called "focus bracketing". It's like exposure bracketing but with 3 slightly different focus settings. It works only in manual focussing and i use this very often for macro shots. This way i sometimes (not very often) get a macro shot with a sufficient sharpness. I hope my english is not too bad. Kind regards, Günter.

Hi Lori, Exellent details and textures. The dried roses are almost tangible. Very good still life, with a high level of atmosphere, gloom and showing the fragility (of the flower as well as life itself, but I'm carried away here). The subdued colours and pastel tones are excellent and fit the mood perfectly, as does the fractured reflection in the table. Composition, as always, flawless....:) Very well done, my compliments!
Cheers,
Hugo
