Thanks for the critique Chelsea, this blossom was over my head and I didn't have a ladder. I knew that the lighter background was a little distracting when I first looked at it but decided to post it anyway. Perhaps if I made the picture a 'fake' with Photoshop by taking the light areas out it would look better. I do have other hibiscus that the film plane is parallel with the flower blossom. I will post one or two.

Nice sharp focus on the blossom, but the background distractions really throw this one off. Perhaps a narrower depth of field, and a slightly higher angle to rid the background of the bright areas.
