About As you can see the lighting is quite harsh as it is about 11am in Summer, the handrail shows a directly vertical shadow.

Massimo, thank you for your comment, I am still laughing that my comment on my own picture got another critique so soon. Thank you.
I was going to reply with a comment on one of your pictures but noticed that you have so many comments, and why not, your portfolio is stunning.
I agree, finding friends on UF is important and this is the friendliest photo community I have found on the net.
Critiques give me a better understanding of what it takes to have a good picture so thank you again Massimo and the UseFilm community.

Oh no, I can?t do better, your critique is almost perfect! ;) I don?t know how it goes sometimes in UF, but I think that if you have few friends, you get few comments. Finding friends is one of the best thing of this site, I knew many kind and nice people, I mail them, I phone them and I often meet them and of course I comment their photos, maybe this is the point, we tend (me included) to comment the friends' photos and it can happen that the others are forgotten.

Said this, your photo. I like the high angle, it?s my favorite point of view, and the whole scene, it?s very nice, maybe in B&W it would have had more emotional tension, but the colors give a touch of happiness, at last they are so young! The boy?s expression and pose are very funny, he is certainly attracted by the girl (where he is looking at?) and maybe he is feeling hot, very hot, so he put the hand in water? ;))) Bye Max

108 views today and not one comment so I though I would add my own.
Quite contrasty due to the almost directly overhead sun.
The boy is obviously trying to keep cool with his hand in the water so capturing his mood or feeling was quite well done.
The hand rail and chain may offset the composition a little and are not necessarily a useful part of the photo, that is, they do not add anything to the overall feel. Maybe if the pair were in the bottom right of the picture with the expanse of side walk to the left and top, this picture would have looked better.
How's that for a critique, please feel free to do better.
