About Not a PS effect, this is a picture of my son, Jonathan, at the end of a long, square, metal tube. This tube is at the National Gallery, and points to a bunch of neon lights - these lights are behind Jonathan in the picture. The tube is shiny on the inside, so it reflects.

Great capture. I would have thought it was digital collage at first if I did not read about it. What's most interesting is the texture in this photo.

Your explanation makes sense, but you were the one who recognized the picture. Very high-tech, sci-fi looking image.

Well that makes a fascinating image Ursula. Very cool! I bet he likes it.:) I think I prefer the grain on the original image, seems to suit better.

Hi Ursula:

I thought the title referred to the strange sense of disemobodied alienation one sees in Jonathan Kane's photo composites. Maybe it has a little of both Jonathans. In any event, it's both eye-catching and thought-provoking. Not a bad combination! --jim

I have one other slightly different version of the same picture. This second version I ran through NeatImage. I am posting it here (for comparison - duh!).
