CP Rail had a Steam train enter town, to raise money and awareness of Children needing to eat a good breakfast (for learning at school). This older gentleman seemed almost to be lost in his memories of times past. I had very little time to take the shot - so many other people in the immediate area about to get in the way, and the man didn't stand there for much longer after I took the shot. Slightly cropped, sepia toned, and sharpened.
The Chief Engineer of this train (CP 2816), died of a heart attack the past week, while walking to line a switch for this train - leaving a wife, and 3 daughters behind.
Derek I think the photograph is a clasic. It is hard to get a good subject of life at the right time with a quality phtograph like this capture. I have a soft spot for train shots because I gre up around them because my Father was a steam engine enthusest. He grew up with them as ahuge part of his young life. Tis an excellant picture.
