Great coloring and strong contrast against the absolutely dark background, Dave! It boosted the subject to a very rich appearance, really. I wished the butterfly would decide to turn in such a way for showing us a less "on edge" perspective, but they do whatever they wish. Still the available details are very good. Crispy and clear but without that strange look that occurs whenever we cross the bounaries from sharp to oversharpened. Now, the flower could also be in the absolute range of DoF, I guess. It is also powerful and nice as it is now, but perhaps a bit more definiteness of its back contours could be of help. Still, of course it is the butterfly that must be the protagonist here.

And it's a beauty, the lighting, colours and sharpness against the black bg are outstanding. This is one you could frame, and a great way to end the summer butterfly shots, wish I had got one of these, it was a real bad summer for me.
