I recieved your reply to my comment even though it does not seem to be showing up here. As you have this in your living room and see it all the time, we'll just have to change the idea of that piece of rock. How about a diffferent way of looking at it? I can see it as an angel watching over those who go through this passage. The angel's presence is just barely visible so as to not interfere with the view or voyage. So, moving from the foreground into the open water, one just needs to glance at the protecting angel, smile and move on. That way, it is not a distraction at all, but a comforting feeling. I hope this might help and I hope it does not sound silly. MAry
What a beautiful spot. It sure does look tempting to just jump right in. The colours in the water are enchanting. I really like your composition as it invites us to journey from the forground all the way to the horizon. The only rhing I might suggest, I hope you don't mind, is that the small patch of rock on the middle right be removed. For me, as my eye is enjoying the line from front to back, it gets drawn to that piece of rock which, for me interupts the lovely flow of your pretty shot. MAry
