Thanks for the quick feedback. I've reshot this with a different lens to try for more sharpnes (http://www.usefilm.com/showphoto.php?id=110630).
Kim, you are spot on about needing green grass or something to improve the background color, but for 3 years running we've lost our backyard grass to extreme summer drought, nasty winter ice, and a manic dog. Will try again :)

I didn't know that Calla Lilies came in other colours... this one has flare and balls, to borrow Artie's term! Nice delicate lines, but something about the image as a whole could be better in my eyes... I think it's the odd colour combo of background with orange flower. Perhaps a more green (like fresh grass) would make this pop.
Still, nice change from the black bg!
