About Serendipity - Michael Todoran (seen here)is photographed by Samuel Davis for a University of Las Vegas class and show "Escape From Desert Island". I happened to be there at Ubehebe crater to catch this image. Surrealism piled upon the bizarre. Only PS is desaturate and contrast. Once again its F8 and be there.

Amazing, like something from a 1950s sci-fi movie

I hope he doesn't die in that heavy suit !

Hi John, Surreal, but a perfect match. Ubehebe is so remote and desolate.... Great shot!

Beginning of February, heh? I guess we missed eachother by a forthnight! We were there last week of February. Four days of amazement and awe, at times I actually had to remind myself I had to push the button.

Cheers,

Hugo

Moral of the story - always have your camera handy. Great shot - what else can I say? I think you have just the right amount of contrast and light by the way. Your image creates a sense of this astronaut being all alone, and yet somehow I also get the sense from this picture that I am right there to witness this scene.

Looks like an outtake from a Fifties SciFi B movie, unusual capture from another world... what happens at Ubehebe Crater stays at Ubehebe Crater...
