hello there, most of my sports photos are all taken on higher speed film, usually in wet, overcast or very cold conditions.
the papers printers usually zap them a little before being put into the papers.
if i remember, it was going to rain and very overcast hence the soft colours.
don't be afraid of getting into the diamond to take sports photos.
just remember the ball hurts and its still live for the fielding side after it has hit you.
i try and hit at the back of first base, good for hitting and running pics.
cheers peter

this image is good, but i think the colours are not that sharp. And i have no reason why. Probably my monitor is not showing them properly. The angle is professional.

Awesome action shot! You can also feel the tension of the moment. Shame about the missing head.

hello taken in low light, as it was about to rain on a dull sunday afternoon.
agree about the head, but as it was a grab sports photo and the marist players were running around like headless chocks anyway.
so i think i'm allowed a little lee way.
hope to see the stud Ian posing in more hoilday photos soon. did you get any more of your nice natural light photos?
cheers peter

I like the softness and colour from this film Pete and the action and dust, althou I wonder if this pic would be better with the third party's head!? Cheers Tab :O)
