Thanks Randy - how many thousands of words - yes, I wonder what stories it told?

Nice idea well done. What many thousands of words came off this typewriter?

Wonderful macro, Bruce! and fantastic rusty colors. I had a typewriter like that! Very cool! Best wishes for a Happy New Year! Ina

Hi Hugo, thanks for your comments and valuable suggestions about the shadows, always happy to hear ideas for improvement. Unfortunately this was only a short visit to a country museum about 3 hours drive away so not much chance of trying again for a while.

Cheers
Bruce

Hi Bruce, very well arranged close up shot; the keys look like pistons, ready to pounce any of the letters you typed in the title. The way the texture on the metal and the wear of the typewriter is captured adds to this image, althoug I find the flash shadows a bit distracting. Have you tried a longer exposure without flash? or even a sync-ed flash on first or rear curtain? think that might well solve it. Anyways, a very nice and attractive shot.

Cheers,

hugo

Thanks Sammy. Well I shot it in a museum so you're probably right that a lot won't recognise it. Thanks for stopping by.

Very nice abstract. You have shown good texture and depth of field. It took me a second to recognize it. These days, there will be a lot of people who don't recognize it!
