  Q. Any Plug In Web Templates for Photoshop CS?
CorrieLynn Jacobsen
Asked by CorrieLynn Jacobsen    (K=9882) on 12/9/2005
I hate the gallery templates that come with photoshop cs. I was wondering if there were any plug in type web gallery templates for photoshop CS available online. Either that or a way to seriously modify the ones that are already there.
Thanks.

Hi CorrieLynn!

Not sure about a plugin for CS, but I use a great photo gallery application called JAlbum. It's free and available here: jalbum.net

NO adware, spyware or malware! Have not used photoshop at all to do this since getting it about 18 months ago. Once you use it, you'll wonder why you ever bothered with the PS utility in the first place!

Very user friendly interface with many options for web templates and generates some pretty slick code too. And if you have an advanced knowledge of javascript, there's no limit to what you can create with it :)

Try it out. You won't be disappointed...

Cheers
Rina

Thanks Rina! I downloaded it-it looks like it should work! Im NOT handy with javascript-so im not sure how that will pan out with options. Were you able to transform some of the 'templates' a bit?

For the most part, I'm fairly pleased with the templates as they are, and if I'm in a hurry for something different, I'll go back to jalbum for new ones. I have played around with the template scripts though. The one thing that annoyed me was the insertion of design credits at the bottom of every page. Originally, I was using find & replace to remove the text from the pages, but then realised I could save doing that tedious task over and over by modifying the javascript that generates the code in the first place. BUT, if you're not familiar with js - fear not! Dreamweaver is your friend... :)) I say this, assuming of course, that you have some skill with editing HTML...? Everything you need to know in order to make changes to the layout, ie table structure, image sizes, relevant css etc... is in the source code once you've created an image gallery.

Hope I've made sense! If you need more help with anything at anytime, feel free to email me at c_a_m03@hotmail.com

Only too happy to help :)
Cheers and have a fantastic 2006!
