I like the selective colouring on the hat, but feel the blue is far too harsh. So blue and cold that the kid has lost any human link to me, he just doesn't look 'right'! I'd have preferred it with the blue hardly noticeable against the grey. I often think in shots like this, less is more, selective colouring can be beautiful when done gently and can add a 'second depth' to a shot. Slapping your viewer in the face with it weakens the shot and detracts from the shot's other strengths.
