It should have been "far" mountains ;)

A wonderful scene. The clouds and the warm light in the fat mountain gives a sense of tranquility to the whole picture. The colors too have come out really well. However, the front part of the image do not have any special light available. I guess adding a ND filter for the bottom part to give bit more light to the lower half would have made this image more dynamic. Also some object could have been placed at any of the golder points in the area under shadow..it could have been even better. This is a superb image and I hope you like the points I have raised. I myself have taken some pictures at F22 and seen them suffering from loss of sharpness (read somewhere f16 provides good sharpness, varies from lens to lens though), did you experience such thing here?
Regards
Anindya

Great shot, Gaetan! Nice and colourful rocks are offset nicely against the cold grey sky. Happy New year to you too. Cheers, Gary

hmm the colours seem a tad saturated to me.. giving it a "toasted" feeling in the sky's blue... and the lens shouldn't have any colour correction required as the CZ Lenses are pretty terrific.. but and excellent shot otherwise would maybe rock in B&W as well

Breathtakingly beautiful. These formations are hundreds of thousands of years old. Can't help but wonder how awesome they looked when first formed. Looking at views such as this makes one feel very insignificant and very humble. Thanks for sharing this "dawning of a new day" with us.

Excellent colours Gaeten. Like the logs in the FG & the framing with the tree on the left. But perhaps would have liked a bit more sharpness

Excelentes colores, y un paisaje majestuoso. Realmente no importan las crisis ante tanta belleza natural.
Felicitaciones!

The early bird definately gets the best worm (or in the photographer's case, the best shot! Your dedication and getting up out of a perfectly warm and comfortable bed at an ungodly hour certainly has it's rewards. I need to try very hard to do the same. Definately there is magic light in those early morning hours. LOVE your images, Gaetan!!

Best wishes,
Brigitte

Amen, John. Even in the darkest days, God's love and light shine through. And how fortunate we are to capture these moments of Light on our cameras to share with the darker parts of the world. :)

Best to you always,
Brigitte

I can not agree with you more, Gaetan. Nature is my refuge from this crazy man-made world. An AWESOME image to say the very least. The color saturation is very pleasing... makes the whole scene just a bit more magical. REALLY well done! 7+++++++++++ and into my favs! Thank you!!!

Warm regards,
Brigitte
