Laurie, the details in this is simply outstanding. You've brought her so close that I feel I can reach out and touch...

A contrasty snap of this black bug., Laurie. There is too much extraneous floor in the image.
I have taken out the unfocussed floor and cropped. See what you think.

Also, I like your quirky bio info. Puts your picture together!

Hi Colin... there was some colour aberation around the edges which I managed to tease away... but I'm pretty happy with my first crack... thanks for the comment...

f1! Thats an amzaing sized aperture. You've done well here, by simply shooting through the telescope. I would imagine you'd get a lot more distortion from refraction, that way. But this is a satisfying result.

Hi Anthony... it was even more striking in real life... We don't get a lot of fog in Auckland so I am glad I was able to take advantage of it this time...

Thanks Linda... I decided to use sheep stand-ins for the cow characters in this work as they're slightly cheaper, and hold their position better, being fundamentally less prima dona-ish.

Some days, the pictures just take themselves...

Hahaha... maybe cows in sheeps clothing?

Love the square cropping (have to say, I'm partial to that style myself), beautiful country scene that fits the project perfectly and well worth an award - imho...

Congrats on the new camera!
Cheers

Beautiful pastoral scene, love the misty moody fog and the wonderful trees, very nicely composed with the stone wall directing the viewer to the wonderful trees...the cows are wonderfully placed, wasn't that nice of them...beautiful work....

It's a "Wolpertinger" (in german) ...a mix of rhino,bug,antbear,zykade and what else more..as f.e. a rabbit with horns,a foxtail,a beak..etc..
Cheers,Ursula
