Hi. I use Adobe Bridge to classify and sort out my shots and use CS3 to do the work on my raw shots. I am looking at Aperture but am not sure if I'll go with it yet. The other two apps work really well and give a great of control over my work. I only shoot in Raw right now. When I get my Canon 1Ds Mark III then I will shoot in Raw on the CF card and JPEG on the SD Card. I can shoot both formats on the same card now but it consumes way too much space and the type of work I shoot doesn't require me to turn out shots quickly if that makes sense. Can't wait to see what else you do. :)

Yay! You totally brightened my day literally. haha...The winter really makes it difficult making the models look happy and not cold! This really helps! Can't wait to try it out. Do you use photoshop most frequently? What other programs do you use?

Love the composition in this shot. well balanced. Could almost crop it and make a tighter image. Exposure is nice and sharp too

Strong image and well focused with all the distracting branches around. The overall composition is the strength of the image

Yep...Photoshop CS3. Just created a duplicate layer, then I used selective color to decrease the blues and add a bit of yellow and red, applied a warming filter the the whole shot and then erased the parts that I wanted to remain "warm". I also even out the skin tones with the blur tool. Been using it for 3 years now and I still learn something new every time I use it; a different way to work on the shots. Hope that helps a little bit.

Thanks Rob! I like both renditions and I agree the photos is more complete with the black bottom bar eliminated. It allows the composition to focuses more on her and less on the bottom of the photo. I really appreciate that!
And for the black and white, I'm so indecisive. I'm not crazy about the lighting on her, I wish her skin displayed more warm tones like the yellows at the end of the building/walkway. So, maybe the black and white was the answer!
Again, great solutions

Hi Erin...I tried a version of the crop to see what you thought. I think it combines a lot of great elements and still gives you a sense of depth. Her scarf leads you right into the shot as well as the suns reflection off the glass. Just a thought.

Thanks Howie,
You're right, at first I thought it added interest; but on second opinion, it takes away from her and the perspective! Thanks

YAY! A real critique :). I couldn't decide if I should crop it or not, I somewhat liked how the scarf was hanging; however, you are right. It is distracting and it takes away from the light and perspective. The square crop is a good idea! Thanks for your time,
Erin

Good capture, with a nice pose and pretty model. The only down side there is a lot of dead space so I would be tempted to crop closer.

Lovely capture, for me a couple of things that would lift the shot, crop the black line of the bottom and possible use of a square format? Great shot

Best wishes,
