Thanks actually doesn't work as well in colour as I was using fuji sensia and the light was uneven and colors in shadow areas look washed out.Using channel mixer in P.S. adj red ch to give mono film with red filter affect.

Bryan,
I like your compositioning of this photo. The relections of the clouds is really eye catching. What I don't like is the weeds coming out of the water in the foreground. It really takes away from the photo. Other than that its a good shot. Congrats...

Thanks Danny I have the crop you suggested on the wall printed to A3 and like it as well. downloaded this crop to fit in with the moody landscape theme think it adds to the mood of the shot. Regards Brian

Super shot Brian. It works well also if you trim the bottom to just below the Island. I think it takes away the distractin of the reflected cloud but that is probably what caught your attention in the first place. Sorry

Great sky and a wonderful feeling of being drawn into the image. Only the scanning artefacts detract. I love Arran and would like to go back there some time, this just re-affirms that wish.

The contrast is quite high Brian. The darkest shadows behind the trees in the upper left have no information to extract with PS. A difficult subject given the light conditions. I would guess the projected slide is a lot different. Try two scans, one for the shadows and one for the highlights and combine them with PS. Regards John
