Looking at this now I just realized I don't care for this compositionally or lighting-wise at all. Oh well, nice idea, good commentary. Better luck for me next time.

Great exposure, and a real 'in-your-face' shot. Good use of minimum DOF as well.

CN-400 is a C-41 color based black and white believe it or not. I like to use it on occasion because even though it's color based, it turns out a very unique grain I dig. Just gotta make sure it doesn't come out green. lol Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Looks like its safer to stay in a tight knit bunch. Good composition, though it might be nice to have a shallow DOF sharp point to latch your eyes onto - in that foremost group of wheat stalks. What kind of film is CN400? this has the glowing feel of a film infrared shot.

I agree, great composition. I enjoy the highlights and the shadows. great lines. my only fault would be it is a bit on the blurry side. I think it would also look good if you played up the blurry by applying soft focus. just my personal preferance. Great Image!

Good point. I couldn't get close enough to the flower with my 35mm though to crop out some of the stuff I didn't want (for instance the road and that long horizontal white line). I would've kept the other flowers though.

The light playing on the bench is, it itself, a picture in the making. Good shot. But I think, in my humble opinion, a shot from a little different angle to cut out more of the cars and seclude the bench more, would be a wonderful shot.
