An interesting concept. Too me the sun is too "hot" and has burned out a portion of the image. I think the auto focus might have been fooled by the reflection as the sticks in the mud are a bit soft and theoretically should be sharp.

This would qualify for my "If looks could kill" series. Good detail and color, the hardest part is slowing them down.

Great shot! Makes me homesick for Canada. In one place where I grew up in northern Ontario we had a reading room like this as well. (-:
Minor suggestion: A bit of adjustment to bring out more detail/contrast in the foliage and tree stump in the foreground.

I like this since there aren't too many of these left. Good subject for bw. A few things that could make it better. The branch obscures the roof a little too much and it could use a bit more contrast. Perhaps a lower camera viewpoint or a tree trimmer would help with the branches. A lower viewpoint to include more of the tree stump. Overall it's still pretty good.

I love the subject of this... I still recall using one of these at my grandfather's homestead in Saskatchewan (they had a Sears catalog in there, but it wasn't for reading). :-) Only thing I may consider is cropping some of the left side out so the outhouse is not so centered.

Interesting landscape shot. It looks like you have a good eye. I would like to suggest though, that you try to suck a little bit more saturation out of the area, as the colors seem very beautiful. Also, the sky appears washed out. Im not sure if it was really cloudy and it was white, or if it was extra bright. I might suggest a polarizing filter to tune down the sky and give it a blue hugh. Lastly, and not to totally knock you shot, because I myself make the same mistakes. I will suggest returning (if possible) during the early morning, or right before sunset. You will get a much warmer light, and give the area some interesting shadows and depth. You wont believe how much it changes to look, give it a try. Thanks for sharing this.

Interesting concept, but, IMO, I feel the presentation would be greatly improved if the light rays in the water, were projected at the same angles as the sun rays in the sky and clouds.

Excellent detail, especially for a digital camera. I like the use of the fingernail to add scale and interest. This looks like a typical tic out west as well, though last year I posted a very different looking tic. The sidelighting makes the image dramatic. My compliments to the brave model holding it all together.
